SURABAYA. (21/03) Hutan merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dari kehidupan di Bumi. Hutan menutup sekitar sepertiga permukaan Bumi dan menjadi rumah bagi dua pertiga spesies darat di seluruh dunia. Tak heran jika hutan disebut sebagai gudangnya keanekaragaman hayati bagi planet Bumi.
Peringatan hari hutan sedunia yang jatuh pada hari ini (21/3) diperingati oleh siswa SD Juara Surabaya. Para Siswa ini memperingati hari hari Hutan sedunia di taman Flora, Bratang, Surabaya. Siswa yang terdiri atas sebagian siswa kelas 3 sampai kelas 5 melakukan latihan teatrikal sejak sepekan yang lalu. Saat teman yang lain belajar di rumah karena siswa kelas 6 melaksanakan ujian sekolah, mereka semangat dan antusias untuk berlatih dalam rangka peringatan hari hutan tersebut.
Kisah yang diusung adalah cerita tentang pohon mangga yang berada di sebuah hutan. Pohon mangga yang tidak mudah putus asa dalam menjalani kehidupan di hutan. Ia di dera berbagai cobaan dalam hidupnya berupa angin kencang, penyakit, meranggas, hewan pengganggu, bahkan ancaman dari pak petani bernama pak Parmin. Namun, pohon tersebut tidak berputus asa dalam berjuang untuk tetap hidup. “Cerita dikemas dengan cerita yang imajinatif namun diharapkan bisa mengena kepada siswa lain yang melihatnya. Dengan cerita ini, siswa Juara diharapkan bisa ikut merawat tanaman yang ada di sekitarnya”, ujar pak Wawan, guru LSU SD Juara Surabaya.
“Saya senang bisa ikut dalam acara hari Hutan ini. Sebagai narator, saya ingin menyampaikan kepada teman-teman bahwa melestarikan hutan itu penting. Karena hutan adalah paru-paru dunia”, ujar Sofia Sibatun Sholihah, siswa kelas 4 yang berperan sebagai narator.

Commemoration of world forest day that falls on Monday (21/3) was celebrated by students of SD Juara Surabaya. Students these days commemorate the world Forest day in Flora Park, Bratang, Surabaya. Students made up the majority of students in grades 3 through grade 5 perform theatrical exercises since a week ago. Theatrical performance that carried from story of the mango trees in a forest. Mango trees are not easily discouraged in life in the forest. He got various trials in the form of high winds, disease, molt, nuisance animals, even the threat of a farmer named Parmin. However, the tree did not despair in the struggle to stay alive. “The story is packed with imaginative stories but is expected can give a good message for others students who watch it. With this story, the students are expected to participate treating plants in their surrounding areas, “said Wawan, LSU teacher of SD Juara Surabaya.
