MEDAN. Pada (10/08) SD Juara Medan mengadakan Field Trip ke Dinas Pencegahan Pemadam Kebakaran. Kunjungan dilakukan pada pukul 09.00 – 11.30 WIB. Acara ini diikuti oleh 157 siswa SD Juara Medan. Acara ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan siswa terhadap profesi, dalam hal ini profesi pemadam kebakaran. Melalui field trip ini siswa dapat belajar dan terlibat secara langsung, sehingga pemahaman yang didapatkannya pun akan semakin menyeluruh.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut siswa diajarkan mengenai cara mencegah kebakaran di rumah. “Saat tercium bau gas di rumah maka segera lepaskan regulator gas, buka semua jendela dan pintu agar udara masuk sehingga tidak terjadi kebakaran.” papar bapak Hasibuan selaku instruktur.
Bapak Hasibuan pun memberikan penjelasan kepada siswa SD Juara mengenai pemadaman kebakaran, termasuk diantaranya baju anti api. Seluruh siswa mendengarkan dengan antusias, mereka pun satu per satu diberi kesempatan untuk mencoba memakai baju anti api yang biasa dipakai oleh petugas pemadam kebakaran. Terlihat mereka semakin antusias dengan pengealaman barunya memakai baju anti api khas pemadam kebakaran tersebut.

Yang lebih serunya lagi, setelah siswa puas mendengarkan penjelasan dari instruktur dan menaiki bermacam – macam mobil pemadam kebakaran, seluruh siswa secara bergiliran mengikuti simulasi memadamkan api. Kegiatan ini bukan hanya diikuti siswa, namun juga para guru.
“Seru sekali pak, apinya bandel tidak mau mati – mati.” seru Abdul siswa kelas 6 dengan antusias. Setelah tenaga terkuras saat memadamkan api, seluruh siswa istirahat dan memakan bekal makan bersama.
Setelah foto bersama dengan petugas pemadam kebakaran kegiatan field trip pun berakhir. “Alhamdulillah anak-anak senang dan antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini. Field Trip kali ini pasti akan menjadi buah bibir selama seminggu ke depan di sekolah.” ungkap pak Fahriza sumringah.

The event aims to introduce students to the profession, in this case the firefighting profession. On the occasion the students are taught about how to prevent fires in the home. “When you smell gas at home then immediately disconnect the gas regulator, open all windows and doors to allow air to enter so there is no fire.” Said Mr. Hasibuan as the instructor
Mr. Hasibuan also briefed to students about fire suppression, including fire-retardant clothing. All students listened with enthusiasm, they were one by one given the opportunity to try to wear flame retardants commonly used by firefighters. It can be seen, they were extremely enthusiastic about their new experience wearing fire-retardant clothing.

The most interesting thing is after listening to the explanation of the instructor and satisfied by riding wide – range fire engines, all students take turns to follow the simulation extinguishing the fire. This activity is not only attended by students, but also teachers.
“It was very interesting, the fire don’t want to quench” Exclaimed Abdul 6th Grade student enthusiastically. Once they exhausted putting out fires, all students take a break and eat lunch together.
After a group photo with firefighters the field trip came to an end. “Thank God the kids were happy and enthusiastic to join this activity. Field Trip this time will certainly become a byword for the next week at school, “said Pak Fahriza happily.
