PEKANBARU. Penyuluhan tentang Bahaya Penyakit Menular yang disampaikan oleh Ibu dr. Rini Hakikah Lubis pada hari Selasa (01/11) sangat memukau di SD Juara Pekanbaru. Realita kehidupan sehari-hari yang dialami Peserta Didik terutama tentang penyakit Parotitis yang lebih dikenal masyarakat dengan Penyakit “Baguag” merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus yang ditandai dengan pembengkakan pada bagian bawah telinga atau tepatnya pada kelenjer Parotid atau “Parotid Gland”. Oleh sebab itu, penyakit ini dinamakan Parotitis.
“Penyakit ini ditularkan lewat udara yang ditularkan oleh virus Mumps yang terjadi di seluruh dunia, banyak terjadi pada anak usia 5-9 tahun. Parotitis adalah peradangan dari kelenjer Parotis. Inflamasi pada kelenjer ini dapat disebabkan oleh virus, bakteri, autoimun atau kombinasi dari etiologi tersebut. Masa inkubasi virus ini selama 12-25 hari, biasanya 16-18 hari. Sehingga walaupun belum tampak sakit, si Sakit sudah dapat menularkan virus ini kepada orang lain.” jelas dr. Rini Hakikah Lubis.
Selain penyakit Parotitis, beliau juga menjelaskan mengenai Penyakit Campak dan Cacar. Perbedaan penyakit ini terletak pada penyebabnya dan dampaknya pada tubuh. Sehingga beliau berpesan kepada para peserta Didik Kelas 4, 5, dan 6 dan Bapak /Ibu Guru yang mendampingi, agar meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh sehingga dapat terhindar dari penularan penyakit.
Setelah itu, Peserta Didik yang sangat antusias mendengarkan dan mencatat materi ini pun diberikan pertanyaan. Terbukti, ilmu yang disampaikan Bu Dokter tersampaikan dengan baik kepada Peserta Didik dari jawaban mereka yang tepat saat Bu Dokter mereview materi.
