PEKANBARU. SD Juara Pekanbaru mengikuti event tahunan Mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Riau program studi Matematika, yakni OM 17 (Olimpiade Matematika) pada (24/01) sampai (28/01) Januari 2017. SD Juara mengikuti dua cabang lomba, IMC (Individual Math Competition) dengan mengutus 3 orang peserta, dan Deklamasi Puisi Matematika dengan mengutus 2 orang peserta.
Seperti biasa peserta OM 17 mencapai lebih seribu orang dari seluruh Riau, terdiri dari tingkat SD sampai SMA/SMK. Alhamdulillah SD Juara berhasil menorehkan prestasi membanggakan dengan meraih Juara II Lomba Deklamasi Puisi, yang diraih oleh Adam, Mehdi, Mahdi, Vikia siswa kelas V.
“Sangat bersyukur, prestasi yang diraih Adam adalah hasil latihan keras dan cukup lama, walau target juara 1 tidak tercapai, namun pretasi juara 2 ini sangat membanggakan, mengingat jumlah peserta meningkat pesat dari tahun sebelumnya.” Komentar Bu Heni Kusrini selaku Pelatih dan pendamping cabang lomba deklamasi puisi Matematika.

Pekanbaru[:en]PEKANBARU. SD Juara Pekanbaru following the annual event of FKIP Riau University of Math study program, the OM 17 (Math Olympiad) was held on (24/01) to (28/01). SD Juara Pekanbaru followed two branches of the contest, they are IMC (Individual Math Competition) by sending three participants, and Mathematics Poetry recitation by sending two participants.
As usual, OM 17 participants reached over a thousand people from around Riau, consisting of elementary level to high school / vocational school. SD Juara Pekanbaru managed to carve a proud achievement by winning Second Place of Poetry Recitation competition, which was won by Adam, Mehdi, Mahdi, Vikia graders V.
“Very grateful, the achievements of Adam is the result of hard and long training, even though the target of being the first champion is not reached, but the second champion is very encouraging, considering the number of participants increased from the previous year.” Commented Mrs. Heni Kusrini as coach and assistant of branch Math poetry declamation contest.
