MEDAN. Rumah Zakat kembali mengirimkan tiga orang relawan ke Kecamatan Semedam, pada Jumat, (14/04). Semedam adalah salah satu Kecamatan di Aceh yang mengalami kerusakan parah akibat banjir bandang yang terjadi pada (11/04) lalu.
Sebagai lembaga sosial, Rumah Zakat memberikan bantuan berupa kebutuhan pangan, pakaian layak pakai, buku, alat tulis dan 400 kaleng kornet superqurban. Sampai saat ini, persediaan logistik dan makanan sudah sangat mencukupi karena banyaknya bantuan yang datang dari berbagai daerah, salah satunya adalah Rumah Zakat.
Salah satu korban, Syamsul mengaku bahwa ia kehilangan seluruh harta bendanya dan masih memerlukan bantuan alat-alat sekolah. “Sejak kejadian banjir bandang di desa kami, anak-anak tidak ada yang bersekolah karena semua perlengkapannya habis tersapu oleh banjir. Cuma baju yang tersisa.” Ungkapnya sambil lirih.
“Kami sangat berterima kasih kepada Rumah Zakat yang datang jauh-jauh memberikan bantuan kepada kami, sekarang kami tidak merasa sendirian lagi menghadapi bencana ini”, ujar Kepala Desa Semedam sambil berkaca kaca.

As a social institution, Rumah Zakat Medan donated needs for food, clothing, books, stationery and 400 cans of Superqurban corned meat. Until recently, the logistics and food supply is very adequate because of the help that came from various regions, one of which is Rumah Zakat.
One of the victims, Syamsul claimed that he had lost all his possessions and still need help of school supplies. “Since the occurrence of flash floods in our village, No children attend school because all the equipment had been swept away by floods. Clothes are the only remaining.” He disclosed softly.
“We are very grateful to Rumah Zakat Medan who came all the way provide assistance to us, now we do not feel alone any more to face this disaster,” said village chief of Semedam touched.
