MANADO.(1/2) Hujan yang mengguyur Sulawesi Utara sejak 31 Januari 2019 jam 19.00 WITA mengakibatkan kenaikan jumlah debit air di beberapa lokasi rawan bencana di kota Manado, hujan yang terus mengguyur kota Manado sampai saat ini mengakibatkan beberapa kelurahan rawan banjir lokal mulai digenangi air, ketinggian air bervariasi antara 30 cm hingga 1.5 M.
Kondisi lain selain kenaikan debit air juga terdapat beberapa titik longsor, dan terdapat korban meninggal. Sampai saat ini hujan masih
mengguyur kota Manado dengan intensitas sedang hingga lebat.
Merespon kondisi tersebut tim relawan Rumah Zakat Action langsung turun mengambil tindakan mengevakuasi warga. para Relawan menerobos genangan air setinggi 1.5 meter dengan perahu karet untuk dapat meyelamatkan warga yang terjebak banjir. Relawan yang berjumlah lima orang ini juga langsung melakukan koordinasi dengan pihak terkait. Selain itu mereka juga melakukan need assesment terkini.
“Dari hasil dilapagan setidaknya ada beberapa kebutuhan mendesak yang diperlukan saat ini seperti makanan siap saji, selimut, makanan bayi, pakaian, serta penerangan” ujar Fai. Koordinator Lapangan untuk bajir Manado.
Sampai saat ini tim relawan Rumah Zakat Action terus melakukan tindakan evakuasi dan penanganan bencana secara komprehensif untuk banjir Manado. Sampai berita ini diturunkan berdasarakan hasil pemantauan banjir ini telah merendam beberapa ruas jalan seperti Jalan Tikala, Sarlo, dan Kairagi yang menuju ke arah bandara. Selain itu banjir ini juga telah merusak beberapa bangunan rumah warga seperti didaerah Kelurahan Tikala Baru, Teling Atas, dan Marketer. Banjir juga mengakibatkan beberapa pohon tumbang seperti di ruas jalan depan Kodam Merdeka Teling Atas dan Jalan Purnomo.
