PEKANBARU. Pada (06/09) SMP Juara Pekanbaru kembali melaksanakan kegiatan ekskul bahasa Inggris. Ekskul bahasa Inggris kali ini membahas tentang “How to deliver the good speech in front of audiences”, atau mempersiapkan pidato yang bagus dihadapan pendengar.
Ekskul diikuti oleh 23 orang siswa siswi kelas 7 – 9. English club diarahkan langsung oleh Mardiansyah sebagai Guru Ekskul dan sekaligus Guru Bahasa Inggris SMP Juara Pekanbaru. Kegiatan yang bertempat di kelas Istanbul tersebut dilaksanakan mulai pukul 16.00 – 17.30 WIB.
Dalam materinya tentang “How to deliver the good speech in front of audiences”, Mardiansyah memberikan langkah-langkah yang harus dipersiapkan dalam Speech, How to be Winner in Speech Contest (bagaimana menjadi juara dalam contes pidato). Di dalam persiapannya, maka hal pertama yang harus diperhatikan adalah Pronauncation dan Intonation.
Dalam materinya siswa diberikan contoh teks speech, dimana mereka bisa mencoba secara langsung bersama dengan teman sebangkunya. Siswa sangat antusias menyampaikan hasil pidatonya kepada temannya. Siswa juga satu persatu mencobakan teknik speech contestnya di depan kelas.
“Ini merupakan sarana mengajarkan siswa untuk lebih berani dalam berbicara. Dan ini juga merupakan persiapan untuk mengikuti English Competition tahun 2016 nanti.” ungkap Mardiansyah.

In the material the students are given examples of speech texts, where they can try to practice together with their seatmate. Students were excited to present the results of his speech. Students also tried out speech contest techniques one by one in front of the class.
“It is a means to teach students to be more willing to talk. And this is also a preparation to participate in English Competition in 2016, “said Mardiansyah.
