[:ID]GORONTALO. Peringati hari Hutan sedunia Relawan Rumah Zakat di Gorontalo menggelar aksi penanaman 1000 pohon di desa Harapan kecamatan Wonosari Kabupaten Boalemo, Gorontalo (18/03). Desa harapan dengan enam dusun memiliki kondisi lingkungan dan hutan yang cukup baik. Namun, ada beberapa titik di dusun tersebut memiliki kondisi hutan yang memprihatinkan.

Bagaimana tidak, hutan yang dulu begitu lebat sekarang sudah gundul akibat penebangan dan berganti menjadi kebun tebu. Tentunya, hal ini mempunyai dampak positif maupun negatif bagi warga setempat. Padahal, hutan merupakan sumber daya alam yang dapat di manfaatkan secara positif, misalnya manfaat langsung yang dapat diperoleh dari hutan adalah kayu serta hasil hutan lainnya. Sedangkan manfaat tidak langsung yang diperoleh dari hutan adalah pengaturan tata air, reakreasi, pendidikan, kenyamanan lingkungan, udara yang bersih, mencegah terjadinya banjir dan lain-lain.

Sarmun Redi, Kepala Desa Harapan berharap melalui penanaman pohon ini, bisa menjadi langkah awal untuk merawat dan memelihara hutan agar tetap terjaga dengan baik. Juga berharap kepada warganya agar timbul kesadaran dari diri sendiri akan pentingnya menjaga dan memelihara hutan.

Ada berbagai jenis pohon yang di tanam oleh relawan bersama warga. Diantaranya 150 bibit pohon Nangka, 50 bibit pohon jambu batu, 150 bibit pohon sirsak , 200 bibit pohon mahoni , 200 bibit pohon tanjung, 100 bibit Pohon tranbesi , dan 150 bibit pohon Johar. Warga Desa Harapan pun sangat antusias menanam pohon bersama relawan dan mereka pun berharap apa yang mereka tanam hari ini bisa bermanfaat kelak di masa depan.

“Saya sangat senang dan berterima kasih kepada Rumah Zakat. Karena dengan adanya 1000 bibit pohon ini, diharapkan bisa mengatasi banjir yang terjadi di desa kami,” tambah Sarmun.

Commemorate the World Forest Day, Volunteers of Rumah Zakat in Gorontalo planted 1000 trees in Harapan village, Wonosari sub district, Boalemo district, Gorontalo (18/03). Harapan village hope with six hamlets has good environmental and forest conditions. However, there are some points in the hamlet that have a dreadful forest condition.

How not, the forest that once was so dense now is bare due to logging and changing into sugar cane fields. Of course, this has a positive and negative impact on the local people. In fact, forests are natural resources that can be utilized positively, for example the direct benefits that can be obtained from forests are wood and other forest products. While the indirect benefits derived from the forest are water regulation, recreation, education, environmental comfort, clean air, prevents flooding and others.

Sarmun Redi, Harapan Village Head hopes that by planting this tree, it can be the first step to maintain the forest to keep it well maintained. Also hope to the citizens to arise self-awareness of the importance of maintaining forests.

There are various types of trees that are planted by volunteers with the residents. Among them are 150 seedlings of Jackfruit tree, 50 tree seedlings, 150 saplings, 200 mahogany seedlings, 200 cape seedlings, 100 seeds of tranbesi trees, and 150 Johar tree seedlings. Villagers of Harapan Village are very enthusiastic about planting trees with volunteers and they hope that what they plant today can be useful later in the future.

“I am very glad and grateful to Rumah Zakat, because with the 1000 tree seedlings, it is expected to overcome the flood that occurred in our village,” added Sarmun.
