SAMARINDA. Wednesday (20/5), local people of Sidodadi Village enthusiastically deposit their inorganic waste in ‘Wiraswasta Waste Bank” and they have successfully earned millions rupiah from collecting a ton of valuable waste.
This month was different from others because this time they were visited by dozens of students from Mulawarman University, Samarinda. In this opportunity, they planned to observe the system of waste bank initiated by RZ.
“They come for observing the system here and later promoting it in other villages because to launch a waste bank is easy and cheap,” Ritawati,
As a form of awareness toward environmental cleanliness and preservation, RZ established waste bank in many ICD throughout Indonesia. To run the bank, RZ invites local residents to get involved and contribute by depositing inorganic waste and actively managing the bank. In addition, RZ also introduce waste management procedures namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) to them. ***
