Shalat adalah mi’rajnya orang beriman. Shalat merupakan sarana istirahat dan penyejuk hati bagi Baginda Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam. Saking khusyuknya, kaki Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam bengkak karena lamanya waktu berdiri dalam shalat.
Namun, sebagaimana diriwayatkan secara shahih oleh Imam Muslim Rahimahullahu Ta’ala, ada satu kondisi yang membuat Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam mempercapat shalatnya. Lantaran hal ini, Nabi segera mengakhiri shalatnya.
Ialah sahabat Anas bin Malik Radhiyallahu ‘anhu mengisahkan, Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam bersabda, “Sungguh, aku sedang melaksanakan shalat. Pada saat itu, aku ingin memanjangkan bacaan shalat. Kemudian, aku mendengar tangisan anak kecil, lalu aku mempersingkat bacaan shalatku. Karena aku mengetahui perasaan kasih ibunya saat mendengarkan tangisan anaknya.”
Inilah pesona akhlak Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam. Inilah sejatinya shalat yang khusyuk. Bukan tidak mendengar sesuatu pun, tapi mengetahui apa yang terjadi di sekitar tempat shalat.
Nabi yang mulia mempersingkat bacaan shalat karena mendengar anak yang menangis. Beliau bisa saja memanjangkan bacaan, tapi memendekkan bacaan merupakan teladankan lantaran mengetahui bagaimana perasaan sang ibu mendengarkan tangisan buah hati saat dia sedang shalat.
Hadits ini juga mengandung hikmah agar para imam memperhatikan pula kekhusyukan jamaah, bukan hanya kekhusyukan diri sendiri. Sangat tidak bijak memanjangkan bacaan dalam shalat fardhu, tanpa pemberitahuan kepada jamaah, hanya karena ingin disebut sebagai penghafal al-Qur’an yang merdu bacaannya.
Jika memang memanjangkan, hendaknya disesuaikan dengan kebiasaan di masjid tersebut. Sebab banyak jamaah yang memiliki banyak kesibukan di luar shalat.
Riwayat ini juga menunjukkan betapa belas kasihnya Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam kepada para umatnya. Beliau menyayangi umatnya secara sempurna hingga bisa berempati dengan apa yang dirasakan oleh mereka.
Kasih sayang inilah akhlak yang utama. Amat luas cakupannya. Siapa tidak menyayangi apa yang ada di bumi, maka dia tidak akan disayangi oleh siapa yang ada di langit. Dan tidaklah dicabut rasa sayang, kecuali dari hamba-hamba yang celaka.
Sungguh, tiada teladan yang lebih baik dari teladan Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa sallam.
Namun, para ayah dan ibu juga harus memberikan edukasi saat anak-anaknya ikut ke dalam masjid untuk shalat berjamaah.

Prayer is the ascension of believer. Prayer is a means of relaxation and calms the hearts of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. Prophet always khushoo’ in his prayer, his feet was swollen because of the length of time in prayer.
However, as narrated in Sahih by Imam Muslim rahimahullahu Ta’ala, there is a condition that makes the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam quicken his prayers. Because of this, he immediately put an end to his prayer.
Anas bin Malik Allaah ‘anhu narrated, the Prophet sallallaahu’ alaihi wa sallam said, “Truly, I am praying. At the time, I would like to extend the reading of prayers. Then, I heard the cries of a child, and then I shorten the prayer reads. Because I know the feeling of mother when hear her baby cries”
This is the charm of the character of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. This is actually a solemn prayer. Rather not hear anything, but knowing what is going on around the place of prayer.
The noble prophet shortens prayer reading because he heard the child crying. He could only prolong the reading, but he shortens his reading because knowing mother feeling when her baby cried while she was praying.
This hadith also contains wisdom that the priests considering the khushoo’ of the congregation, not just self- khushoo’. It is not wise to extend the reading in the obligatory prayers, without notice to the congregation, just as it would be called the memorizers of the Qur’an melodious recitation.
If it extends, should be adapted to the habits of the mosque. For many pilgrims who have plenty to do outside of prayer.
This history also shows the compassion of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam told his people. He loved his people perfectly until he could empathize with what is perceived by them.
Compassion is the main character. Very wide-ranging, who does not love all that is in the earth, then he will not be loved by anyone who is in the heavens. And it is not deprived of affection, but of the wretched slaves.
Really, there is no better example than the example of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.
However, the father and mother must also provide education when their children go to the mosque to pray.
