PURBALINGGA. Desa Serang kecamatan Karangreja Kabupaten Purbalingga adalah salah satu desa sebagai jalur pendakian Gunung Slamet yang mempunyai ketinggian 3.428 mdpl dan merupakan gunung tertinggi di Jawa Tengah.
Walau berada di kaki gunung namun ketika musim kemarau tiba desa ini mengalami krisis air, kondisi ini sampai sekarang belum dapat teratasi. Sementara warga terdampak akibat kekeringan sekitar 1.000 orang dari 400 KK.
Untuk mengatasi kekeringan ini Rumah zakat berkolaborasi dengan Kita Bisa.com menditribusikan air bersih untuk Desa Serang ini. Distribusi air bersih ini dilakukan secara bertahap.
“Air diberikan kepada warga bertahap selama 4 kali, masing – masing distribusi 20.000 L air kita salurkan untuk warga” ujar Fasilitator Rumah Zakat, Dwi Gandik Biworo.
Distribusi air tahap satupun dilakukan pada 30 agustus lalu bertempat di sekitar pos pendakian gunung Slamet. Di tengah kabut sore suasana yang biasanya tidak terlalu ramai karena tidak ada para pendaki gunung, mendadak riuh. Banyak penduduk yang berkumpul dengan membawa jerigen untuk mengantri mendapatkan air secara cuma-cuma.
Bagi yang mampu kekeringan tidak terlalu menjadi beban berat, orang yang mampu bisa mendapat air dengan cara membeli. Namun, bagi warga yang tidak mampu mereka harus mengambil sekitar 2 km ke mata air terdekat, apalagi bagi yang tidak mempunyai kendaraan, mereka harus berjalan kaki.
“Semoga bantuan ini bisa membantu dan memberikan sedikit senyum bagi warga disekitar pendakian gunung Slamet yang selalu di penuhi kabut di kala sore hari,” tambah Dwi.

Even though it was at the foot of the mountain, but when the dry season arrived, the village experienced a water crisis. This condition has not been resolved until now. While the people affected by drought were around 1,000 people from 400 families.
To overcome this drought, Rumah Zakat collaborates with Kita Bisa.com distributing clean water to Serang Village. The distribution of clean water is carried out in several periods.
“Water is given to residents gradually for 4 times, each of which distributes 20,000 L of water we distribute to residents” said Rumah Zakat Facilitator, Dwi Gandik Biworo.
The first period of water distribution was carried out on 30 August located around the Slamet mountain climbing post. In the midst of the fog of the afternoon the atmosphere which is usually not too crowded because there are no mountaineers, suddenly boisterous. Many residents gathered by carrying jerry cans to queue for free water.
For those who are prosperous drought is not too heavy a burden for them, they can afford to get water by buying. However, for those underprivileged, they have to take about 2 km to the nearest spring, especially for those who do not have a vehicle, they have to walk.
“Hopefully this assistance can help and give a little smile to the people around the climbing of Mount Slamet which is always filled with fog in the afternoon,” Dwi added.
