SEMARANG. Selasa (25/07), bermacam cara di lakukan dalam upaya melestarikan lingkungan, mulai dari penanaman pohon untuk reboisasi sampai pemberian bibit buah, baik yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah maupun swasta.
Kesadaran untuk melestarikan alam perlu ditanamkan sejak usia dini, seperti anak-anak Kelurahan Wonolopo, Kota Semarang. Selepas pulang sekolah, dengan riang gembira mereka membawa botol bekas minuman kemasan untuk didaur ulang menjadi tempat menanam sayuran, ada bayem ceyshin juga kangkung. Botol tersebut dilubangi tengahnya, ada yang kotak panjang maupun bulat bulat sebagai tempat tumbuhnya tanaman. Juga sisi bawah di lubang untuk pembuangan sisa air, kemudian diberi warna dan ditulis namanya masing-masing.
Kegiatan yang digagas oleh Fasilitator Desa Berdaya Rumah Zakat tersebut berlanjut esok harinya dengan pemberian media tanam dan penyemaian bibit. Untuk media sekam dan pupuk kandang perbandingannya adalah 1:1.
Disini mereka diajarkan bagaimana memanfaatkan limbah, bersabar melihat proses tumbuhnya tanaman dan bertanggungjawab terhadap tanamanya sendiri. Mulai dari memasukkan bibit sampai menyiram. Sebagai penghargaan ketika sudah besar tanaman tersebut boleh dibawa pulang ke rumah masing.
