[:ID]YOGYAKARTA. Pada Sabtu, (26/09) Cita Sehat bersama Rumah Zakat mengajak para siswa SD Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta memperingati Hari Pangan Nasional. Kegiatan peringatan tersebut diisi dengan bercocok tanam di area sekolah.

Sebelum belajar menanam, para siswa terlebih dahulu diberi pengarahan atau penyuluhan mengenai manfaat konsumsi buah dan sayur. Setelah mendapat pemahaman, barulah para siswa praktik menanam berbagai jenis sayur dengan media tanam yang telah disediakan.

“Sayuran yang ditanam diantaranya tomat, terong dan seledri. Jadi kami sudah menyiapkan polybag kecil, tanaman yang masih muda dan juga tanahnya. Sehingga anak-anak tinggal menanam dan kemudian nantinya merawat sayur tersebut,” tutur Alfian, Public Health Cita Sehat Yogyakarta.

Peringatan Hari Pangan Nasional sendiri, diperingati setiap tanggal 16 September. Alfian menambahkan, bahwa semua lini masyarakat baiknya turut memperingati event tahunan tersebut termasuk para siswa-siswi Sekolah Dasar. Hal ini dilakukan agar mereka paham akan ketahanan pangan sejak dini.

“Senang bisa ikutan belajar menanam sayur. Saya jadi tahu ada peringatan Hari Pangan Nasional. Selain itu, kita juga diajari manfaat makan sayur secara rutin,” ujar Siti, siswa kelas 03 SD Banguntapan.

 [:en]YOGYAKARTA. On Saturday (26/09) Cita Sehat together with Rumah Zakat invited the students of SD Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta to commemorate National Food Day. The commemoration activities were filled with farming in the school area.

Before learning to plant, the students were first given a briefing or counseling about the benefits of fruit and vegetable consumption. After that the students practice planting various types of vegetables with the planting medium that has been provided.

“Vegetables planted including tomatoes, eggplant and celery. So we have prepared small polybags, young plants and soil. So the children live to plant and then later take care of these vegetables,” said Alfian, Public Health officer of Cita Sehat Yogyakarta.

The commemoration of the National Food Day itself commemorates on every September 16th. Alfian added that all good community lines also commemorate the annual event including elementary school students. This is done so that they understand the food security early on.

“It’s good to learn how to plant vegetables. I came to know there was a National Food Day commemoration. In addition, we are also taught the benefits of eating vegetables on a regular basis,” said Siti, a student of grade 3 of SD Banguntapan.
