PALU. Rumah Zakat established as emergency schools in the disaster area of Palu. Here children cannot return to school because they are still traumatized, besides that the school collapsed, but even so the children are eager to learn. With the spirit, Rumah Zakat’s Volunteers established a simple emergency school from tarps and wood scraps. Understandably, in Palu and its surroundings, building materials are still limited.
“We encourage teachers to start teaching and educating again. We start raising everything from school. It’s simple, with tarpaulin and wood remnants. As we walk, we will update it with more adequate materials and equipment,” said Rumah Zakat volunteer, Herlan Wilandriansyah.
Within two days, emergency schools could be used for psychosocial assistance before continuing to the stage of teaching and learning.
” Donator and Rumah Zakat have established an emergency school for us, thank you very much for Sis ida, Sis Maya, Sis Rahma, and brother Hadi and other big brother which has removed a little of our trauma, “Yuni said.
