LOMBOK. (10/09) Petang itu sejumlah warga terlihat antre untuk mendapatkan air bersih yang dibawa oleh relawan Rumah Zakat di Dusun Kuripan, Desa Rempek, Kecamatan Gangga, Kabupaten Lombok Utara, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Kebutuhan akan air bersih pengungsi memang sangat tinggi, terlebih hampir seluruh kawasan di KLU masih mengalami musim kemarau dan kekeringan.
Air bersih dibutuhkan untuk berbagai keperluan, mulai untuk konsumsi harian hingga untuk keperluan MCK.
Musim hujan yang tak kunjung datang ditambah gempa yang meluluhlantahkan pemukiman menambah duka lara mereka. Sejumlah warga mengatakan mereka mengandalkan distribusi air untuk memenuhinya, sumur dan sumber mata air disekitar kamp mereka sudah tidak bisa diandalkan lagi.
Menurut salah seorang Relawan Rumah Zakat, Kamaludin, kebutuhan air bersih sangat mendesak karena warga kesulitan mendapatkannya. The need for clean water is indeed very high, especially almost all areas in North Lombok Regency are still experiencing drought.
Clean water is needed for various purposes, starting from daily consumption to for latrine purposes. The rainy season that never came plus the earthquake that devastated the settlement added to their grief. Some residents said they relied distribution of water to fulfill it, wells and springs around their camps are no longer reliable.
According to one of Rumah Zakat Volunteers, Kamaludin, the need for clean water is very urgent because people have difficulty getting it. “The need for clean water is very urgent because the residents have difficulty getting it due to the dry season and the earthquake that caused disruption to the water channel, hopefully the water we bring can meet their water needs for a while “, he said
