PHILIPPINE
Our work in Philippine began when Typhoon Haiyan, known in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Yolanda hit Philippine on November 3, 2013. This hurricane with a speed of 235 km / h (145 mph) swallowed more than 3,600 people dead, injured at least 12,400 people, and no less than 1,100 people have not been found.

Rumah Zakat dispatched 4 volunteers to the typhoon area of Haiyan, Philippines. The four volunteers consisting of 2 doctors and 2 rescue volunteers departed with a team of volunteers who are members of the South East Asia Humanitarian Committee (SEAHUM) bringing medicines as well as Food Aid for the refugees.

In addition, Rumah Zakat provides humanitarian aid in the form of food aid, warm meals and clean water for those victims of Marawi crisis happening in Philippine. The armed confrontation between government forces and pro-ISIS militants in Marawi has forcibly displaces 98% of the total population.

We continue to provide aid and support and hope that our small happiness can be shared!
